OUR KITCHEN DESIGN PROCESS

We are often brought in at the beginning of the kitchen redesign process. Very often, our clients are in the process of building a house, have just recently bought one, or would simply like to give their kitchen space a new look and feel. At Kitchen TechniQ, we are dedicated to informing our clients early on about each step of the kitchen remodel process. This ensures a smooth process from the kitchen remodel decision to the final installation of our kitchen cabinets.

Kitchen Consultation

Our design process at Kitchen TechniQ usually starts with a personal appointment at our sort after kitchen design showroom on 12011 Nebel Street, North Bethesda MD 20852. To schedule a consultation, please call us on (301)-231-0633, or send an email to info@kitchentechniq.com, or reach out to us via our contact form to arrange your free kitchen consultation. If you are in the area, feel free to stop by any time during our showroom hours. Walk-in clients are always welcome. We encourage you to come to the initial consultation with floor plans, dimensions, and possibly even first kitchen sketches or ideas. Our expert kitchen designers will have an open dialogue with you, where you can discuss all kitchen cabinet design options, our designers can answer any kitchen design questions and we can give you a general price impression.

Kitchen Proposal

Following the initial design consultation and any possible follow-up meetings, our kitchen designers will create a kitchen proposal for you, based on your specific kitchen plan. This proposal includes kitchens cabinet price ranges as well as the delivery and/or installation cost. If you are happy with our proposal, we will ask you to pay a retainer fee, which will kickstart the kitchen design process.

Kitchen Cabinet Design

With the official design process in progress, one of our Modiani kitchen designers will visit your home to take dimensions and measurements. Using those measurements, we will provide a set of professional shop drawings (floor plans and elevations) using various design programs such as 20/20, AUTOCAD. Upon request, we may also create 3D renderings. These drawings will give you a detailed visual of your custom kitchen, will serve your architect and builder, and are essential tools for the overall kitchen design and installation process.

Kitchen Cabinet Order And Production

Once the shop drawings are finalized, you and your Kitchen TechniQ designer will both need to sign off on them so we can place the kitchen cabinet order. The production of our luxury kitchen cabinets typically takes between five and fourteen weeks, depending on the kitchen complexity and whether we order the kitchen cabinets from Europe or the USA.

Kitchen Cabinet Delivery And Installation

The kitchen designers at Kitchen TechniQ will give you an estimated delivery date for your cabinets. We typically arrange kitchen cabinet installation for approximately one to two days after the scheduled delivery date. The installation process itself generally takes between two days and two weeks, depending on the scope of your kitchen makeover project. We recommend that installation of your kitchen countertop occur around 2 weeks after templating. We can also take care of this upon request with our partner brand Granite Works.
